Thank you for trusting us and we look forward to continuing to recommend you many awesome books!

Not only did you support local by shopping with us, you supported local by reading local authors.
33 of our top 100 bestsellers were books written by Australians of which 15 were written by WA authors!!

We had an absolutely awesome year getting to know you in person at various events and book club meets. While you came out in force to meet your favourite storytellers and discuss the bookclub reads, you also picked up their books while you were there.
29 of our top 100 bestsellers were books from authors who we ran events with or books we read as part of book club!

When you find an author you like, you keep on going with their books!
9 authors appeared more than once in the Top 100. The author you supported most was Stacey McEwan with 4 books in the top 100; Trent Dalton and Hannah Nicole Maehrer were tied second with 3 books in the top 100.
Other authors who appear multiple times include Alan Davies, Brianna Wiest, Charlotte McConaghy, Claire Keegan, Madeline Miller and Rebecca Yarros.

The book versus screen debate may continue but you overwhelmingly decided that in order to choose you'd need to experience both. 6 books in your Top 100 were released as or announced for screen adaptations this year.

4 award-winners caught your attention this year and the Booker Prize is clearly a brand you trust!
David Szalay's Flesh was the winner of the 2025 Booker Prize while Samantha Harvey's Orbital won the prize last year.
Percival Everett's James and Yael Van der Wouden's The Safekeep were both shortlisted for the Booker this year, and although they didn't win, they did take out other prestigous book awards.
James was the winner of the Pullitzer Prize for Fiction in 2025 and The Safekeep was the winner of the Women's Prize for Fiction.

While a self-development book took out the number 1 spot in your Top 100, the list was dominated by fiction.
Your favourite genres in 2025 were:

Self Development
It's been a fantastic 2025 and we can't wait to see what you choose to read in 2026. Thanks for a great year and we hope to see you in store again soon!
